    David James Butt, 63, of Malvern passed away on January 8, 2016. He was born on May 18, 1952 to Robert and Barbara Beckette Butt. David married his love, Beverly in 1975. He was a great provider for his family whom he loved very much. He always had a family project going and loved to include everyone in the project.  David was a retired veteran of the US Navy, in which he served six cruises and two world tours. David enjoyed family get-togethers, working on cars, and had a love of riding rollercoasters.

     

    David is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gary Butt; and his sister, Sharon Westbrook.

     

    David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Beverly Ann Butt of Malvern; his sons, David James II (Regina) Butt of Bismarck; and Frederick Charles (Angelia) Butt of Malvern; his brother, Frederick (Velda) Butt of Pine Bluff. He also leaves behind his grandchildren David James Butt III, Nathan Butt, Anne Marie Butt, Austin Phillips, Tristin Phillips, Prestin Phillips and Cole Wesolowski.

     

    Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the United States Naval Honor Guard. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from noon until 2:00.
